The Birth of a New Vision
SAIF (School of AI Films) was founded with a powerful realization: while AI was transforming visual storytelling, traditional film schools were not teaching it. Most continued to view AI as separate from - rather than an evolution or alternative to - conventional filmmaking. At the same time, AI platforms focused on tools and technology, but rarely taught the aesthetics, language, and emotional craft of cinema.
There was no dedicated institution bringing these two worlds together. So, we created one.

Meet Our Founders
Abhijit Joshi
FounderHaving earned his degree in engineering, Abhijit shifted gears to follow his passion for cinema and the craft behind it. Abhijit dived into the world of cinematography and storytelling and for 25+ years, covered television shows and live events including Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), Nach Baliye, live sports coverages, the Unforgettable Tour by Amitabh Bachchan. He was Director of Photography for Shop CJ, a former prominent player in the Indian teleshopping market.
Abhijit now brings his deep industry expertise and enthusiasm for AI technologies to mentor the next generation of filmmakers and produce cinematic storytelling with the latest AI tools.
With over 25 years as a journalist Dipta has worked across print, TV, and digital platforms writing and covering news and events for Aaj Tak (TV Today), Business Standard and several national and international newspapers and magazines like Indian Express, Times of India, Khaleej Times and Education World magazine among others. As Principal of Lexicon Institute of Media & Animation, Pune, Dipta launched media and animation courses for undergraduates and post-graduates. She was also associated with OMOTEC, a robotics education and research lab as Vice President, Marketing. She now drives SAIF’s outreach programs and teaches application of AI tools in print and digital journalism production.
